Some unique senior photos sessions feel like an adventure — and Iz Snyder’s was one I’ll never forget.
A senior at Columbia High School, Iz wanted unique senior photos that celebrated her personality, her passions, and the special places and friends that have shaped her. That meant two very different (and equally amazing) sessions: one on her family farm with her animal friends Butters and Waffels, and another on campus for a cap-and-gown BOOMerang session to celebrate her graduation.
Session One: Life on the Farm
We kicked things off where Iz feels most at home — her family’s farm. The rolling fields, rustic barns, and golden light made the perfect backdrop, but the real stars of the show were Butters and Waffles, Iz’s beloved animal companions.
Working with large animals for senior portraits was a whole new adventure for me. Between coaxing them into place, avoiding a few playful nudges, and making sure everyone looked their best, it was a learning experience full of laughs.
The images we captured were worth every moment — from Iz wrapping her arms around Butters’ neck to strolling through the pasture with them both trotting alongside. Each photo radiates warmth, personality, and a deep connection to her roots.
Session Two: Cap, Gown, and Celebration
A few weeks later, we met again on the Columbia High School campus for something a little different — a BOOMerang session. This fun, fast-paced shoot focused on Iz in her cap and gown, capturing her excitement for what’s ahead.
We moved through iconic spots on campus, letting her laugh, toss her cap, and soak in the milestone moment. The result was a set of images that perfectly balance the grounded, rural beauty of her farm portraits with the joy and accomplishment of graduation.
