When you meet Logan and Katelyn Torrence, you can tell right away— they’re not just any seniors. These two are twins with a shared determination, competitive spirit, and love for their sports. Logan is a hockey goalie for CBC High School, known for his fearless saves and razor-sharp focus. Katelyn is a softball catcher for St. Pius X High School, a wall of defense behind the plate and a leader on the field.
And when it came to their senior portraits, they knew exactly what they wanted: badass sports photos in St. Louis that captured their grit, dedication, and personality.
Logan: The Wall Between the Pipes
As a goalie, Logan’s world is high stakes—every play, every puck, every second matters. For his portraits, we brought that intensity to life. Full gear, gloves on, mask in place, and the kind of lighting that made the ice-rink energy jump right off the frame.
We played with dramatic shadows and low angles to show his strength and command of the net. From the glint of his helmet to the scuff marks on his pads, every detail told the story of the countless hours he’s spent protecting that goal.
Katelyn: Commanding the Diamond
Behind the plate, Katelyn is in control. She reads the game like a book and leads her team with a calm confidence. Her session showcased her catcher’s gear, powerful stance, and the fierce focus that makes her such a force on the field.
We combined natural light with stadium-style backlighting for shots that captured both her athleticism and her personality—equal parts determination and fun. The result? Images that make you feel like you’re right there on the diamond during the bottom of the seventh. For the second part of Katelyn’s session we headed to downtown Kimmswick.
The Twin Factor
